During the summer months, just about every business experiences a decrease in traffic and engagement on their social media channels. This is because the warmer months take us outside into the sun and away from our devices and social media profiles. If we are using social media in the summer it’s usually to post videos or photos of our day at the beach, weekend at the cottage or evening with friends on a patio.

For me as a social media professional the summer is bad. But as a human being, first and foremost, the summer is good – very good. It’s easily my favourite time of year.
