During the summer months, just about every business experiences a decrease in traffic and engagement on their social media channels. This is because the warmer months take us outside into the sun and away from our devices and social media profiles. If we are using social media in the summer it’s usually to post videos or photos of our day at the beach, weekend at the cottage or evening with friends on a patio.

For me as a social media professional the summer is bad. But as a human being, first and foremost, the summer is good – very good. It’s easily my favourite time of year. Things just seem better in the summer. And with the great vibe that summer casts over all of us, I’ve put together 10 of my favourite summertime quotes that sum up this wonderful time of year.

“Summertime is always the best of what might be.”
Charles Bowden
